Internships and Employment Opportunities at MACSAC

MACSAC offers opportunities for students of all ages to learn about community food systems, sustainable agriculture, and non-profit work through credit and non-credit internships. Credit internships must be arranged by the student through his or her faculty advisor. Internships usually run for one semester (fall, spring, or summer). Interns participate in all aspects of MACSAC's work and programs and may be tailored based on the interests of the student. Projects may include working with the media, writing and compiling articles newsletters, communication with farmers, tours of MACSAC farms, assistance with marketing and mailing of the MACSAC cookbook, assistance with general office administration, and participation in regular MACSAC board meetings or special projects.

    Internships at CSA farms

Farm internships must be arranged directly with the CSA farm you are interested in. To ensure a quality experience it is important to identify a farm that meets your needs and expectations. Many MACSAC farms also participate in the regional Collaborative Regional Alliance for Farmer Training (CRAFT) program which arranges farm visits for interns throughout the growing season. http://www.csalearningcenter.org/what/training/craft
