The Madison Area Community Supported Agriculture Coalition (MACSAC) supports and connects Community Supported Agriculture farmers and eaters.

We envision a future where Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is the backbone of a strong local food system; where all families have access to locally produced, organic food and have strong connections to their farms, food and community.

We coordinate community and farmer education programs, including the Partner Shares Program which raises funds to subsidize CSA memberships for households on a limited income. Each year hundreds of area households learn about CSA through MACSAC's annual events including the CSA Open House (March) the Bike the Barns (September), educational workshops and cooking demonstrations, and the distribution of our food book From Asparagus to Zucchini: A Guide to Cooking Farm Fresh Seasonal Produce.

Interested growers and households join the coalition mailing list to receive newsletters and invitations to grower gatherings and other events. Farmers wishing to be formally promoted by the Coalition complete an application and interview process held annually in the Fall. For more information about our programs, internships, volunteer opportunities, or to order our book, visit www.macsac.org, or contact us directly at 608.226.0300, info@macsac.org.
